 We really value your feedback and comments about the various services we deliver. We are constantly trying to improve, so do listen to your feedback. Below is an overview of feedback and comments about specific areas of our work, and how we have responded to your comments:

Careers Advice and Guidance

You said

It was good to see so much positive feedback such as "I was very impressed by your careers advisor. Very helpful, great advice and sent me several emails after our appointment."

However there have been a number of comments about our appointment booking system which shows appointments being full when in fact they haven’t yet been released.

We responded 

We don’t like to release appointments too far in advance as students are more likely to attend when the appointment was made quite recently. However we do appreciate the limitations of the system and are in the process of transferring to a new system over this next year. In the meantime we will release appointments a full week in advance, not just on a Monday morning, which means that you will be able to see the appointments for the week ahead.

"Sadly I cannot do the days and times you have appointments, so I would really you to review this."

We responded

We do offer some appointments outside of the publicised times, and do say this on the booking system, although we will try to make this more clear in the future. We try to balance our time so that we can also offer groups, workshops and events, and this may mean that we are not always able to offer appointments, but we will continue to monitor this situation.


Careers workshops and talks

175 group sessions were delivered by Careers this year

  • 98.8% of attendees said that the session had met their objective, either ‘very much so’ (70.8%) or ‘to some extent’ (28%)

We responded

We have extended our lunchtime group session to one hour to give more time for questions and a longer session where appropriate.


The Worcester Award

There were 252 Worcester Award completers last year, 99 more than the previous year. 92% thought that taking part in the award had improved their employability, and there were some really positive comments.

"Getting my Gold award has meant so much to me. Going through the process has DEFINITELY made me so much more prepared for when I face interviews and talk to potential employers."

"One of the best decisions was to participate in the Award Scheme, because I could see new fields and I could settle down in Worcester amongst interesting and inspiring people."

"Through the Worcester Award I have been able to push myself out of my comfort zone and strive for better, higher aspirations. I have carried this newfound confidence into my presentations within lectures and the Worcester Award has helped me develop both professionally and in my personal life."

Some of you have asked if you can complete an online log book.

We responded

We agree with you, and would also like to develop an online system to record your activities. We are in the process of changing our customer management system, but won’t be able to make the changes until next year.

Some of you said that you would like to see more clear information about activities required for the Worcester Award at different levels.

We responded

We made some changes to the log book, and hopefully there is now greater clarity.


You said

Some of you felt that more information could have been given about how the Worcester Award Silver Award Workshop links to the Gold Award.

We responded

Objectives will be stated at the beginning of next year’s Silver Award workshops.
