The nearest airport (45 mins) to University of Worcester is Birmingham International Airport. This is a regional airport and usually very easy to arrive at and quick to get through immigration and customs. If you can, we advise you book a flight which brings you into Birmingham.
We offer an airport collection service on 14th January 2018 (exclusively for KU Leuven students studying a MSC Management Degree landing before 17:30) and 24th January 2018 (for all other students) from Birmingham International Airport for International flights which are scheduled to land before 16:00 and European flights which are scheduled to land before 17:00.
As soon as you know your flight details, please book your airport collection by emailing email@example.com. Please ensure you’ve completed this form by 1st January 2018 for Leuven students and 12th January 2018 for all other students. Booking for this service will close on this date.
Non-students (e.g. parents/guardians) will be charged a fee of £10.00/person from either Birmingham International. This will be payable on arrival.
Pre-sessional courses and summer schools
If you are attending a pre-sessional course or a summer school, you will receive airport pick up instructions by email. If your arrival does not coincide with the airport pick up dates and times, please see our guidance on travelling independently to Worcester.
If your flight does not fit in with our airport collection service, we are sorry but we are unable to pick you up from the airport. However, we ask that you still complete the arrival form so that we know when to expect you.
See our guidance on travelling independently for information on how to travel to Worcester.
Air travel guidance
Please note that immigration procedures at Heathrow can take up to three hours to complete.
We advise Non-EU students not to come via Republic of Ireland as you will not have the required visa stamp put into your passport. If you do come into England via this route it is essential that you ask to see a visa official before you go through customs. They will then give you the required entry clearance. Failure to do this will mean that you will be asked to leave England and re-enter.
Where to go when you arrive at the University
Our new induction app will soon be ready to download from our website and app stores. The app will provide you with all the pre arrival and induction information.
When you arrive report to Main Reception, in the Edward Elgar Building on St John’s Campus.
There you will be directed to the Welcome Centre and given a welcome pack with an induction timetable, a name badge, other useful information and your room key and bedding pack.
