Over the summer period, the Facilities department will be welcoming a high number of conference guests to the University.
These bookings will vary from International Summer Schools visiting Worcester to groups booking Conference Events using the University’s facilities. This increase in demand creates a number of opportunities for Students who are looking to gain work experience, becoming part of an additional summer team which plays a key role in supporting the smooth running of the university and contributing in a number of areas of operational support.
Areas of operational support that students may be required to work within are listed below (ref: Main Duties).
This role will require the post holders to be highly motivated and flexible when meeting the business needs across 7 days a week.
This type of paid work is an ideal way for students to enhance their CV. Training and support is provided where appropriate.
Evening & weekend work will be required and some activities may require an appropriate level of physical fitness and/or a DBS check.

The Facilities Department covers a wide range of services within University of Worcester, including Accommodation, Security, Cleaning, Estates, Campus Services, Grounds, Reception, Commercial bookings and Catering.
The university has various sites around Worcester which include St Johns, Battenhall, Stephenson Terrace, Grove Farm, City Centre, University Arena & Riverside and The Garage. Applicants may be required to work on any of these sites.

1. To maintain high standards of cleanliness across the campus and assisting with room inspections.
2. To carry out laundry duties within the halls of residence.
