Specialist Research Centres
The Children's Literature, Literacy and Creativity International Research Centre is an exciting research partnership between the Education departments and the English Department founded upon years of experience in both subject areas, and a history of collaboration through initial teacher education, Masters programmes, developing professional expertise for teachers and librarians, and conference activities at both the national and international level.
The combination of Children's Literature and Primary English as a Research Centre is unique to Worcester both nationally and internationally.

The Land Research Group
The Group is co-ordinated from within Art and Design and brings together a range of visual artists with colleagues from English and Drama, as well as archaeologists and geographers from other departments. This dynamic group works on locations, texts and installations where art and landscape interact.
The Victorian Plays Project
The project is funded by the government's Arts and Humanities Research Council, and is in collaboration between the University of Worcester and Birmingham Central Library. It uses technology from the University of Central England Digitising Service to create an online electronic database of play texts drawn from a large collection of over 1,500 plays.
