Charitable status
The University of Worcester is an exempt charity subject to the provisions of the Charities Act 2006
The University is regulated by the Office for Students (OfS) which has been the principal regulator for those higher education institutions (HEIs) in England that are exempt charities since 2018. All HEIs with exempt charity status are required to publish the following information on their websites:
- The legal name and correspondence address of the HEI (see below);
- The main constitutional documents of the HEI that can be found here;
- The names of its trustees, together with other relevant information: list of charities of which they are trustees; disclosure of any payments made; related party transactions. The members of the University's Board of Governors act as the University's trustees for the purpose of charity law and a link to their trusteeships can be found here.
- Their full audited consolidated financial statements that can be found here.
