We are a campus University based in the charming city of Worcester - where lively city culture and idyllic rural beauty combine to offer the best of both worlds.

The University of Worcester AThe perfect time to join us

It's a great time to study Sport at the University of Worcester. According to the recently published Which? University Guide, Worcester is one of the top ten places in the UK to study sport.

Choose your perfect course

We offer over 20 different sport and exercise science courses. The depth of our research affords us some highly specific expertise in a number of areas, from Sports Coaching Science to Sports Business Management. Our ground-breaking Disability Sport degree was the first of its kind in the UK.

And our courses are a great foundation for a career in sport - over 92% of Worcester Sports graduates are employed or in future study six months after graduating.

World-class facilities

In recent years we have opened a raft of new state-of-the-art facilities, including the award-winning Riverside complex and the inspirational University Arena.

The winner of the 'Buildings that Inspire' Guardian University Award, the Arena is a national centre of excellence for disability sport and an official Paralympic training venue ahead of Rio 2016. It regularly hosts a range of national and international clashes in a variety of sports, bringing the thrill of live sport to the City.

Come along to an Open Day

Worcester. A place to belong. A place to discover your potential. A place to be inspired for life.

The course is great fun I love all the practical things that we do as part of it. We have loads of trips and exchanges, I did an exchange in Norway it was awesome! I also like how green and open the University campuses are.

The University of Worcester Arena

The University of Worcester Arena is home to the Worcester WolvesOne of only six iconic Olympic Legacy facilities in the country, the 2,000-seat Arena is the first indoor venue specifically designed for wheelchair athletes.

The Arena packs a punch when it comes to elite level sport, attracting international sport, live national television coverage and sell-out crowds. The University's own top-flight pro basketball team, the Worcester Wolves, regularely thrill the home crowds. For Worcester students, a night out at the basketball with the Wolfpack is a fun and affordable addition to the social calendar.

When it comes to study, the elite-level facilities provide students with an excellent training bed for the entire range of sporting degree pathways. Sports therapists can plunge real athletes into the freezing ice baths; aspiring strength and conditioning coaches can put clients through their paces in the power suite; and business management students can gain invaluable experience working on some of the Arena's major events.
