Undergraduate accreditations, recognitions & alignments

September 2016 entrants to Undergraduate Degrees awards in Worcester Business School 
Nine exemptions available from Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) professional exam papers:  F1 Accountant in Business,  F2 Management Accounting,F3 Financial Accounting, F4 Corporate & Business Law, F5 Performance Management, F6 Taxation, F7 Financial Reporting, F8 Audit & Assurance, F9 Financial Management. 
Accounting pathway students are eligible to claim exemption from F4 Corporate & Business Law, F6 Taxation and F9 Financial Management (depending on the selection of the law and tax optional modules).
Finance pathway students are eligible to claim exemption from F4 Corporate & Business Law and F6 Taxation (depending on the selection of the optional law module).
Available on BA (Hons) Accounting 
The Accounting pathways and Finance pathways are eligible to claim exemptions from 5 of the CIMA professional exam papers: C01 Fundamentals of Management Accounting, C02 Fundamentals of Financial Accounting and the performance operations papers P01 to P03. The finance pathway exemptions will be dependant upon students selecting financial and management accounting module in the second year.

CIPFA logo There are seven exemptions available from The Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA) examinations - Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Audit and Assurance, Company Financial Reporting, Taxation, Financial Management and Corporate Governance & Law (depending on the selection of the optional law module).

  Recognised by Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA as) meeting their requirements for Associate membership. Students will gain full membership as an Associate on completion of the BA(Hons) Accounting degree and do not have to sit any further professional exams to become an IFA member. Also, the University pays the registration fee to the IFA in the first year of your degree.

The University of Worcester works in partnership with Sage and CIMA to award students a CIMA Accredited Sage Certificate.  Available on undergraduate awards where students select Business Accounting Systems as an option module. Also, available on HND /C Business Management.
