Bursaries
Bursaries
Virtually every undergraduate student at the University of Worcester is eligible for a bursary of at least £500 for each year of study*.
How our bursaries work:
- Virtually all UK and EU undergraduate students are eligible for a bursary, which you do not have to pay back. (Other sources of support are available to Nursing and Midwifery students.)
- If you receive the maximum maintenance grant from your local education authority, for the academic year 2010/2011, then you will receive a bursary of £770 for each year of study.
- If you receive a portion of the maintenance grant then you will receive a bursary of £640 for each year of study.
- If you do not receive a maintenance grant then you will receive a bursary of £500 for each year of study.
- Our bursaries are easy to arrange. All you have to do is provide us with your bank details and bring your financial support statement with you when you register and we will sort the rest.
- The burary is paid in five instalments, with the first one starting in mid December (if you started your course in September).
*The bursary is awarded to full-time undergraduate students studying on degree, foundation degree and HND courses. Students must reside in the in the UK or the EU for at least three years prior to the start of their course. Nursing and Midwifery students will have their tuition fees paid by the NHS and are eligible for a means tested bursary.
