The Garage

the garage

The facilities for Fine Art and Art & Design are based in a purpose-designed block of buildings called The Garage. The Garage is situated between the St John’s Campus and the City Campus, and close to the Riverside building and University of Worcester Arena. Teaching takes place in a range of studio and workshop spaces which have been designed specifically to accommodate the range of practices explored on the course. Students are encouraged to use the spaces outside of teaching time to develop an open plan studio ethos based on year groupings that will facilitate the development of your creativity and skills Facilities at The Garage include three purpose built artists’ studios, workshop facilities and lecture/performance space. The building also houses a research room, print presses and project space. The Garage is home to several members of staff as well as dedicated technicians.
