Kimberley Brown
Kimberley Brown was among those to have completed their studies at the University of Worcester this year through The Learning Institute in Cornwall, achieving a First-Class Honours in her degree in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
“I’m absolutely over the moon,” said Kimberley. “2020 has been a difficult year for everyone but this is something good I can take from it. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would achieve a First-Class degree.”
Kimberley started a new job at a primary school in September. “I have learnt so much from the children already. I am really enjoying it and no day is the same,” she said.
Kimberley hopes to do some volunteering in the New Year and help children and young people who have struggled in the pandemic. “I hope to apply the skills I have learned from the degree and possibly continue in the field of education and mental health in the future,” she added.
Kimberley says that she chose the course at Worcester because she had heard good things about it and that it was highly respected. Though the lack of face-to-face contact in lockdown had challenges she felt that the tutors were very supportive and responsive by email.
She added: “I am looking forward to seeing my friends from the course as soon as I can and hopefully celebrating our achievements together.”
