Jessica Lee achieved a first-class honours in Psychology BSc (Hons) at the University of Worcester. Throughout her studies, Jessica has praised the Psychology department for their ongoing support adding “The Psychology department provided useful materials online and were only an email away."
Despite the pressure the pandemic has placed on the jobs market, Jessica has secured her first graduate position, supporting women with mental health conditions, alongside volunteering with a local charity.
“In the future, I hope to continue my studies and enrol in a master’s course in Psychology,”“My dissertation project related to how humans respond to the threat of climate change, and the issue of climate change is of great interest to me. I aspire to complete further research in this area, as I enjoyed managing my own research project at university.”
For Jessica, living in the local area before enrolling at university only made her Worcester experience all the richer.
“Choosing to study at the University of Worcester was an easy decision for me,” she said. “I am from Worcestershire, which meant I had the privilege of being surrounded by my family whilst studying, which was a tremendous support for me. In my spare time I enjoy making use of the beautiful countryside in the area and walking my dog. Worcester is an amazing city, and the individuals who I have met whilst working, studying and volunteering here have had a positive influence on me.”
