The Deputy Head of the University of Worcester’s Business School has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.
Dr Scott Andrews is one of only three candidates shortlisted for the Chartered Management Institute’s (CMI) Champion of the Year 2022.
It is in recognition of Dr Andrews’ leadership of CMI programmes at the University, which has a long-established partnership with the CMI.
Every undergraduate and postgraduate business student at the University gains student membership of the CMI and on successful completion of their degree will also receive a professional CMI qualification. Hundreds of graduating Worcester students have so far achieved CMI professional qualifications.
Speaking in response to the announcement, Dr Andrews said he was "humbled by the honour of being shortlisted and proud to have been able to align our University business degree programmes with such a well-respected organisation, and in the process boosting our graduate employability."
Dr Andrews achieved his own CMI award as a Chartered Manager in 2019.
