The 28-year-old, a former BBL player, who has since played for a number of European sides, joins the Club ahead of the crucial match, in which Wolves take on Cheshire Phoenix for the title, at the Birmingham Arena later this month.

His arrival also comes as the team looks to continue its nine-game winning streak.

BBL fans may remember Ojo from his time at Plymouth Raiders in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons, a team he joined after playing for Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. During his time at Raiders, Ojo helped the team make it to the BBL Cup and Trophy finals and in his final season averaged 22.5 points per game.

The 6ft 5in guard has since gained experience in multiple European leagues, including Italian team La Briosa Barcellona, and finished last season at the Austria-A Bundesliga side, Basket Swans Gmunden. Here he averaged 13.5 points, 5.0 rebound and 5 steals per game.

Paul James, Wolves" Head Coach, said: "Ojo is a fantastic and exciting addition to our team. He is a real high level combo guard who brings with him experience of the BBL and more recently of playing in Europe.

"To be able to secure a player of Ojo's calibre is great news for the Club and Wolves" supporters and is thanks to the hard work of a number of people at the Club over Christmas."

Worcester Wolves" Managing Director, Mick Donovan, said: "We are absolutely thrilled with this signing and we firmly believe that Michael's arrival will take us to yet another level. Seeing the commitment of the fans, volunteers and staff at the club, week in and week out is one of our greatest motivations to continue to improve the team. We currently have a very talented group of players and we have worked very hard over the Christmas break to bring Michael to Worcester to join them."

The Worcester Wolves team is currently building up to the BBL Cup Final on Sunday 28 January, after beating the Sheffield Sharks over two legs before the Christmas period.

Unbeaten since November 17, the side is looking to maintain that form leading up to the final, with a number of League games to play. The next home match is on Friday, January 12, against Bristol Flyers. Tickets can be purchased at www.worcesterwolves.org.
