As the final countdown to its debut season begins, Worcester's new professional netball team, the Severn Stars, has secured a sponsorship deal with a Worcester firm.
Universal Display has provided a team car, featuring the Severn Stars logo.
As part of the year-long contract, the firm, based in Shrub Hill, is also supplying the team with all the courtside signage and with signs and graphics to promote the games.
Founded in 1998, Universal Display is one of the area's largest suppliers of sign, graphic and exhibition materials, from banners to vehicle graphics, serving customers locally and nationally, from start-up enterprises to multinationals.
Mike Lapac, one of the directors of Universal Display, said: "We already have a great relationship with Worcester Wolves Basketball team, so when the opportunity came up to get involved with the Severn Stars netball team we were only too happy to get behind the venture.
"We feel that the University of Worcester Arena now plays a vital role in developing sport in the city, hosting both professional basketball and now topflight netball.
"With such a great facility being available right on our doorstep, we will continue to take advantage of mixing business with pleasure, by inviting our staff, customers and suppliers to top games."
The Severn Stars is a joint partnership between the University of Worcester and University of Gloucestershire. The Club will initially play its home matches at the University of Worcester Arena.
