University of Worcester and Friday Beer Company Join Forces to Create Arena Golden Ale
Wednesday, 21 September 2016
A new real ale will be launched at the first home game of the Worcester Wolves Basketball Club this weekend.
The University of Worcester has teamed up with Malvern-based the Friday Beer Company to create Arena Golden Ale.
April White, University of Worcester Arena Manager, said: "As a University we are always looking for ways to champion local business. This seemed the ideal opportunity to team up with a local supplier to bring something new to our Wolves fans when they come to see a game."
Arena Golden Ale is a blonde ale, with a vibrant blend of malted barley, oats and wheat.
Friday Beer Company will be handing out samples to fans attending the Worcester Wolves match on Friday, September 23rd. The Ale will also be available to purchase from the bar.
Mrs White said: "This is a great opportunity for people to come along and support the Worcester Wolves in their first home league game of the season and be the first to sample the new Arena Golden Ale."
The Friday Beer Company has been brewing real ale in Malvern since 2011 and has been on a programme of continuous growth and expansion since the beginning. Being from an academic background themselves, the three directors are particularly pleased with the tie up to help promote excellence in Worcestershire.
"The Friday Beer Company are very pleased to be working together with University of Worcester supporting the Arena and Worcester Wolves Basketball Team," said Peregrine Jackson, Technical Director.
"Arena Golden Ale is light and refreshing with hints of summer fruit, which unusually, for a real ale, can be enjoyed chilled."
