Alyson has been a qualified social worker for over 20 years and spent most of her ‘frontline’ career with adults in both the statutory and private/voluntary sector. Whilst in practice she enjoyed working with students on placement which led her to becoming a Practice Educator. This further prompted her to make her way into social work education and she has been with the University of Worcester for nearly 10 years. Alyson loves what she does but when she is not at work, she watches a lot of Korean drama (K-drama), listen to K-pop (she places the responsibility for that at her daughter!) and she is generally quite creative. Alyson also has 4 mad but gorgeous cats. She looks forward to welcoming you to your studies.
