Antoinette is a fulltime PhD student studying in the Institute of Education at the University of Worcester.
Her PhD supervisors are Professor Alison Kington, Dr Blaire Morgan and Dr Mandy Duncan.
Antoinette’s research is a mixed methods study exploring classroom-based post-pandemic trauma support for primary school-aged children and their teachers. She is using participative enquiry, a quantitative UK-wide online survey and a qualitative Delphi Study.
Prior to her PhD studies, Antoinette completed a BSc (Hons) degree in Natural Sciences with the Open University and an MA Education with the University of Worcester, researching how competent educators feel in managing childhood trauma in their classroom.
Antoinette has worked in mainstream primary schools and in secondary education within a special school, supporting children with SEND and SEMH. She is also a member of the Academic Standards Committee for Hanley Castle High School.
As well as childhood adversity, trauma-informed practice and SEND, Antoinette’s research interests also include sustainability and climate change education.
