Role Summary
As Administrator for the PGCE Secondary course for Core and School Direct, Claire is the first point of contact for partner schools, and plays a key role in the day to day running of the course. In addition, Claire is responsible for the Subject Knowledge Enhancement course administration.
Roles & Responsibilities
- First point of contact for all school queries
- Liaising with and supporting PGCE Secondary academic staff
- Coordinating school placements
- Arranging for schools to be paid for the placements
- Preparation and input of timetabling data
- Overseeing and arranging student interviews. Preparing interview paperwork
- Dealing with confidential items
- Answering email and telephone queries from a range of callers
- Collating of data for Ofsted and keeping it up to date
- Collating grades in preparation for exam board
- Preparing timetable for external examiners to meet with trainees and observe them teaching in schools
- Organising Conferences and meetings
- Taking minutes of Department meetings, Course Committee, Partnership Advisory Group and Student Course Committee
- General day to day administrative duties for the PGCE Secondary course
- Communicating with candidates requiring a Subject Knowledge Enhancement course, preparing a spreadsheet and liaising with Project Finance manager
