After a career as a primary school teacher specialising in the teaching of STEM subjects connected with the outdoors Jacquie returned to higher education in as a Lecturer in Primary Education in 2019. Presently Jacquie leads geography and teaches on science and professional practice modules and is pursuing research interests in areas of social justice particularly intersectional feminism and decolonial thought.
Jacquie particularly enjoys supervising undergraduate research and supporting the development of outdoor learning projects in connection to geography and Science.
Before returning to the University of Worcester to teach in Initial Teacher Education Jacquie was a teacher across Key Stages 1 and 2 and has supported teaching and learning in both SATs year groups. These previous experiences allowed her to take up a role with STEM Learning supporting primary schools and science networks to embed STEM into their curriculum and make use of people in their community with STEM expertise.
