Jake graduated from the University of Worcester as a Sports Therapist. Since 2019, he has worked as a self-employed Sports Therapist within a private injury clinic, as well as amateur rugby and football. He progressed to work within football academies, such as Walsall FC and Fulham FC. Most recently, Jake worked at West Bromwich Albion FC as a full-time Academy Sports Therapist, before joining the University of Worcester in 2022. He has developed strong clinical skills working within both sporting and private clinical environments. Jake has also developed a keen interest in injury psychology and is keen to promote support to clients and students, alike.

- BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy, University of Worcester (2019)
- FA Level 5 Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football
- Myofascial Cupping
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and Business Skills
Scope of Role at University
Jake provides technical support to the sports therapy course, which includes maintenance of supplies, room set-up and assistance during practical seminars. The role also includes clinical supervision of student massage and injury clinics. There is also scope to organise and develop placement opportunities and events for students.
Internal Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for sports therapy course.
- Supervision of massage and injury clinics.
- Support of first aid provision on campus.
External Responsibilities
- Provide support to Sports Franchises and supervise their injury clinics.
- Promote and organise external placements and events.
Industry Background

It was here that he developed curriculums for prehabilitation, and standard operating procedures for assessment and rehabilitation.
