Jenny's background is in the substance misuse field, having previously worked with adults experiencing problematic substance use and with concerned and affected others. Her interest in those affected by substance use led Jenny into working with families affected by parental substance misuse. Alongside this, Jenny delivered teaching and learning to a range of different groups, including mentoring and assessing social work students in practice. Jenny has surprised herself by discovering a passion for this part of her role, which eventually led her into delivering social work education. She remains passionate about social justice and this underpins her approach to education.
