Jen is a part-time MPhil / PhD student with the Association for Dementia Studies.
Jen is researching dementia caregiving within later in life re-partnerships, in the context of significant growth in older adults divorcing, dating and re-partnering. This project plans to explore anticipatory planning around dementia, the differences between caregiving intentions and actions, motivations and barriers to dementia caregiving within re-partnerships.
Jen is supervised by Dr Shirley Evans and Professor Eleanor Bradley.
Professionally, Jen works in a dementia consultancy role, supporting people living with complex dementia, who are experiencing behavioural and psychological changes. Previous employment has included adult social care, adult and older adult mental health and special needs education.
Jen's previous research has included PTSD in cancer care, the role of anthocyanins in vasodilation and cognitive enhancement, and a qualitative exploration of mental health allowances in the workplace.
