Laura de-la-Hay is currently a Senior Secondary PGCE Lecturer at the University of Worcester, having joined in 2024. Her professional background includes a prior career as a secondary school teacher and Key Stage 3 (KS3) lead at a Worcester high school. With extensive practical experience in the classroom, Laura has gained a wealth of ideas and teaching strategies that she is keen to share with trainee teachers.
Laura holds a National Professional Qualification (NPQ) in Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD), highlighting her commitment to supporting the professional growth of teachers. Her specific areas of interest lie in Assessment for Learning (AfL) and teacher development. Laura has served as a PGCE mentor for six years and has experience as a mentor for Early Career Teachers (ECTs), contributing to the support system for educators at various stages of their careers. Laura focuses on sharing her experiences and insights in a neutral and approachable manner to contribute to the academic community
