Laura joined the University of Worcester in 2022, having worked at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust for 10 years.
Throughout her nursing career Laura has worked in a variety of clinical settings, starting as a newly qualified nurse within trauma & orthopaedics. After 4 years Laura relocated to inpatient haematology and oncology; during her time here she progressed to band 6 junior sister and became competent as a chemotherapy nurse. Throughout her clinical career Laura worked as a link practitioner for infection prevention and control and was re-deployed to that team as support during the covid-19 pandemic.
Prior to joining the University, Laura worked at a corporate level as a Practice Facilitator for 2 years. Laura has always had a passion for learning and her time as a Practice Facilitator gave her the opportunity to support students and others on their learning journey.
Laura has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Haemato-oncology and is shortly commencing further university studies within the field of education.
Laura is delighted to return to the University of Worcester, as it is where her nursing journey started 14 years ago.
