Industry Background
Prior to joining the University professional sport support staff in 2008, Marc worked in local government, the health sector and voluntary and commercial sector sport. Through the 1990s/2000s Marc proudly built, developed, then sold a chain of fitness clubs under the brand One on One Fitness Ltd, which gained the ISO 9002, Quality Assurance Accreditation (the first private club in the country to gain the kite mark).
In addition, Marc maintains a PT practice specialising in clients living with physically debilitating, degenerative conditions. His accrued experience enabled him to invent and build a prototype Para-Kettlebell Chair. The design was subsequently trialled by the GB Wheelchair Basketball squads, and GB Para Canoe Squad, and taken to market by Pullum Sports Ltd.

Marc regularly tutors fitness instruction courses/workshops at the University, and externally for NGBs. In 2019/20 the UKSCA Level 2 award will be brought online.
