Matt is a lecturer in Psychology, and one of our Academic Integrity Tutors in the School of Psychology. He is predominantly interested in Sport Psychology and teaches across the Psychology curriculum, leading Applied Psychological Science, Counselling skills in sport psychology and Contemporary issues in sport psychology.
Matt is currently enrolled on the BPS stage 2 qualification in sport and exercise psychology working in applied settings in a range of sporting environments.
Before joining the team at Worcester in 2020, he was an Associate Lecturer in the school whilst working for action for children delivering mental health projects to adolescents.

Teaching Interests
Matt enjoys teaching concepts like social influence and looking at how audiences can impact athletes and officials which is covered in "Introducing Psychology" (PSYC1450), further areas include concussions and traumatic brain injuries in "Cognitive Neuroscience and Biological Approaches" (PSYC2541) where students look at athletes suffering from concussion and engage in tasks such as debates and creating public communication pieces on this topic.
