Melanie Jarman has over 20 years’ experience as a teacher and manager in Further and Higher Education in the UK and internationally, in EFL, EAP, ESOL, MFL and Teacher Training. Melanie has also worked for a range of awarding organisations including Cambridge English.
Melanie has a PCE (2007) with QTLS status, the RSA CELTA (1998), a BA (Hons) degree in English Language and Medieval Literature (1990) and an M.A. in Education (2013) with a focus on the impact of first language education on success in English, and the CMI Level 7 Extended Business Diploma (2017).
Professional Bodies
- Accreditation Scheme Advisory Committee (ASAC) member, British Council: Responsible for reviewing and moderating inspection reports, and recommending decisions concerning accreditation of UK English language providers to the Accreditation UK Executive Board, with a focus on FE and HE.
- Chartered Member of the Chartered Management Institute
- Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
