Michelle is part-time PhD student in the School of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Worcester.
Michelle’s main research interest is formation of coaches’ identity within sport. Her PhD research concerns key events within a coach’s career that may cause their identity to be challenged, changed, or consolidated. She is conducting a qualitative study using semi-structured interviews with a range of coaches within the sporting industry.
Her supervisors are Dr Christian Edwards, Dr Don Vinson and Dr Andrew Cale.

In addition to working towards her PhD, Michelle is a Senior Lecturer in Sports Coaching Science and Course Leader for the BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching Science degree. Outside of the University of Worcester, Michelle is a Level 3 Netball Coach, Tutor for England Netball and Selector for the Severn Stars Netball franchise.
