Ruth teaches English as a Foreign Language (EFL), English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and is a TEFL trainer in the Centre for Academic English and Skills at the University of Worcester. She has been an EFL teacher since 1995 and has worked as a university lecturer for over 20 years. After starting her EFL career in Turkey and Spain in the 1990s, Ruth returned to the UK after completing the RSA Diploma in TEFL. She became an approved Assistant CELTA trainer in 2005.
Teaching interests
Ruth teaches on a range of courses at the University of Worcester, including English for Academic Purposes (EAP), Pre-sessional and English language support lessons for specialist courses and postgraduate students. She is also a trainer on the full-time Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) course run by the Centre for Academic English and Skills.
Ruth is interested in positive psychology, health and wellbeing, and she is currently studying to become a certified Health Coach.
