Sarah is the PGCE Secondary Course Leader. Prior to joining the University of Worcester, Sarah has worked in secondary education as a middle and senior leader with roles including Head of Humanities and Assistant Head. She established and led a successful School Direct Alliance in the East Midlands and had led programmes for both new and recently qualified teachers across the Multi-Academy Trust.
With over 20 years of teaching, Sarah began her teaching career with a BA Religious Education (with QTS) from the University of Sunderland, before leading RE in a variety of secondary schools. Whilst still working in a school, she gained her MA Education at the University of Nottingham, exploring the role that mentoring has in preparing teachers for leadership posts. She is currently undertaking doctoral research exploring the contribution ITE makes to school improvement.
