Tom joined the university in October 2023 after helping as an associate lecturer since March 2022. His main experience has been working as an applied performance analyst within professional football for seven years at Nottingham Forest. He has had the opportunity to work with a variety of athletes and coaches from the academy all the way up to the Premier League giving him a wide range of skills, experiences and expertise.
His aim is to help encourage new students into taking up performance analysis and to further help those students on their journey by passing on his expertise from the applied field into the academic world. His passion is about how performance analysis can be used to can create positive learning environments to provide feedback to both coaches and players.
