Car Parking Information
We are fortunate to have car parking available for all of our campuses, making it easy for you to commute by car to campus.
Our Car Parking team are always on hand across all University of Worcester campuses, monitoring vehicles as they arrive to ensure our car parks are safe, accessible, and well-maintained. Their efforts help guarantee that everyone can park efficiently and that emergency vehicles can access all buildings with ease.
When parking on campus, remember to display your parking validation or local authority Blue Badge in your vehicle, and enjoy the peace of mind knowing that our team is working hard to keep our campuses safe and accessible for everyone.
Parking permits and Pay & Display
Parking permits are available for purchase for both staff and students at the University of Worcester, providing a hassle-free way to park on campus.
Blue Badge holders can park free of charge, but please remember to register and display a University of Worcester parking permit.
If you prefer not to purchase a permit, we have several Pay & Display machines available, which accept card payments and contactless/cash options.

How to apply for a parking permit
As a registered student you can apply and pay for your student parking permit online.
Permits will be able to be collected from 21/08/2024 onwards.
Types of parking permits
Peak Semester Permit (Residents)
Eligibility criteria:
- Resident in any University halls or managed accommodation across the city.
- Living within one mile of the University of Worcester St John’s Campus.
Cost:
£361 per semester
Valid to and from dates
- Semester 1: 1st September 2024 to 31st January 2025
- Semester 2: 1st February 2025 to 31st August 2025
Which car parks can I use with this permit?
- St John’s Campus
- Severn Campus
- The Moors (Monday-Friday only)
- Jenny Lind (Monday-Friday, maximum 4 hours stay; Saturday-Sunday, maximum 2 hours stay)
- Art House (Monday-Friday, maximum 4 hours stay; Saturday-Sunday, maximum 2 hours stay)
Peak Semester Permit (Non-residents)
Eligibility criteria:
- Valid for those students living more than one mile from the University of Worcester St John’s Campus.
- Not living in university halls or managed accommodation.
Cost
£111 per semester
Valid to and from dates
- Semester 1: 1st September 2024 to 31st January 2025
- Semester 2: 1st February 2025 to 31st August 2025

- Students on placement for: Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic, Science, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Physician Associate, Social Work or Teaching courses.

£275 per semester

All students are eligible for this permit.

- Severn Campus (Monday – Friday only)
- All other campuses - outside 8am-5pm Monday-Friday and anytime at weekends, bank holidays and during the months of July and August.
Off Peak Permit
Eligibility criteria
All students are eligible for this permit.

£44 per annum
Valid to and from date
1st September 2024 to 31st August 2025
Which car parks can I use with this permit?
This permit allows parking on university campuses outside the peak hours of 8am and 5pm Monday-Friday, anytime at the weekends, bank holidays and during the months of July and August
Guidance for visitors
If you are visiting a member of staff, please ask them to book you into one of our reserved spaces at Jenny Lind car park or the visitors' car park (Car Park B) on St John's Campus. Reserved parking is available for:
- Directorate visitors
- Guest speakers
- Training providers
- Visiting lecturers
Other guests are required to purchase a valid Pay & Display ticket.
Where to park
St John's Campus
St John’s Campus can often become busy during term times where parking spaces may be limited. All vehicles, except motorbikes, parked on St John’s Campus must have parking validation displayed.
There may be times where an overflow parking scheme will be in operation, particularly in busy periods. In these instances, you may be required to park in an unmarked car park. Please refer to the guidance on how to use an unmarked car park.
If you drive to St John’s Campus, you’ll need to make sure you have one of the following:
- A valid car parking permit
- A Pay & Display ticket
Where can you park on St John’s Campus?
At St John's Campus, you'll find a variety of car parks around our beautiful parkland grounds. We offer:
- A short-stay car park for visitors near our Main Reception (Car Park A)
- A long-stay car park for resident students (Car Park M)
- Dedicated disabled parking, including reserved spots by special arrangement (Car Park G).
Most car parks also feature disabled bays for added convenience.

City Campus
City Campus offers the convenience of being located in the heart of Worcester, with numerous University car parks, as well as council car parks nearby, and both the bus and train stations just a few minutes' walk away.
All vehicles, except motorbikes, parked on St John’s Campus must have parking validation displayed.
If you park at a University car park close to City Campus, you’ll need to make sure you have one of the following:
- A valid car parking permit
- A pay and display ticket
Where can you park on City Campus?
City Campus is conveniently located in the heart of Worcester, with several nearby car parks to choose from.
The Moors Car Park
- A 5-minute walk to City Campus
- Open Monday to Friday (normal parking charges apply at weekends)
The Art House Car Park
- Short stay only
- Monday to Friday: Maximum of 4 hours stay
- Saturday to Sunday: Maximum of 2 hours stay
Jenny Lind Car Park
- Monday to Friday: Maximum of 4 hours stay
- Saturday to Sunday: Maximum of 2 hours stay

Severn Campus
Severn Campus offers ample parking for University of Worcester staff, students, and thepublic, with 200 car parking spaces available. There is a drop-off zone for cars and coaches, and dedicated disabled parking spaces on site.
Additionally, Severn Campus boasts 100 electric vehicle charging points, making it one of the largest electric vehicle charging parks in Europe.

Safety and Security
For reasons of safety and security, barriers to car parks may, on occasions be closed. Security are available 24/7 and can facilitate entry/exit if required. Any questions or concerns can be emailed to security@worc.ac.uk or you can call us on 01905 855000.

Parking Terms and Conditions
Even if you have a permit, we cannot guarantee access to individual paces. Parking on campus is entirely at your own risk.
Students, staff and visitors should not park in residential areas adjacent to our campuses. Overflow parking is available on St John’s Campus during busy periods, whilst being within walking distance of Severn and City Campus.
We accept no responsibility for any vehicle theft or any loss from damage to vehicles parked on campus.
Please read our Vehicle Parking Regulations to understand what is expected of anyone parking at the University of Worcester. If you are not adhering to these regulations, you will receive a parking ticket that may contain a fine.
