- opens your eyes to other cultures, something which employers appreciate
- opens up job opportunities all over the world
What options do we offer?
Modules that you can study as part of your degree
University of Worcester students can take TEFL modules for credit, as part of an undergraduate degree. The 15-credit modules LANG1012 and LANG1013 give you a taste of TEFL teaching.
You can also enrol on our 30-credit Access to CELTA (LANG2011) module, which offers an opportunity to obtain a CELTA certificate.
What is CELTA?
CELTA is a widely recognised TEFL certificate awarded by Cambridge English, part of the University of Cambridge. CELTA stands for the Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults. For more information about the CELTA, please visit the Cambridge English website.
If you’re considering a career in TEFL, it’s worth bearing in mind that many English language teaching jobs require a CELTA qualification.
For me CELTA opened up opportunities that otherwise wouldn't have been available to me.
