Dr Oliver Case
Despite living in London throughout his studies, Oliver Case described “feeling part of a really lively community of students and researchers.”
Dr Oliver Case, graduated with a PhD after submitting a thesis providing an ecocritical study of Virginia Woolf’s novels from 1927 to 1941.
Since commencing his studies at the University, Dr Case has published articles, chapters, and indexes as well as presenting at nine international conferences, and becoming a well-known member of the International Virginia Woolf Society. Following graduation, he is planning his next research project as well as drafting a proposal for a book based on his thesis.
Speaking of his supervisors; Dr Whitney Standlee and Dr Lucy Arnold, Dr Case said “They’ve been consistently encouraging, inspiring, and challenging; it’s been a privilege to work alongside them.”
“I lived and breathed this research project for three and a half years, and I’m a tiny bit sad it’s over. I’ve loved every day of it.”
