“I’m incredibly thankful to all the lecturers who made it possible and the friends I made along the way,” said the 26-year-old.
Reid, originally from Worcester, is working as a software engineer for a company based in London and is living there with his partner, after they completed their studies together. Long-term, they hope to move to the United States and spend time living and working in San Francisco and New York.
Reid said he was drawn to study at Worcester by the range of modules and friendly atmosphere. “The lecturers gave me a lot of great advice during open days, and that advice led me to the career I have started,” he added.
Reid worked as a student demonstrator for Object Oriented Design and Development during his final year. “This work experience contributed directly to getting me through the interview process at my current job. I am very grateful for the opportunity,” said the former Chantry High School and Heart of Worcestershire College pupil.
