“My research has already begun to influence discussions around curriculum development, particularly in understanding how teachers in Wales navigate their dual roles as educators and curriculum architects. I'm proud that my findings are contributing to the conversation on professional self-efficacy, especially at a time when education systems globally are evolving rapidly in response to both technological advancements and societal changes.”

Juggling personal and professional commitments throughout her studies has been a great source of pride, which was tested further throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr Elsey saw this as an opportunity to showcase her resilience and adaptability, which whilst challenging adapting to a virtual environment was a greatly rewarding experience.

Dr Elsey credits the resources available at the University as one of the most significant benefits of studying at Worcester and stated, “my time at the University of Worcester has greatly enriched both my academic and professional life, equipping me with the skills and confidence to contribute meaningfully to my field.”
